How to Make a Fixie
Start with one old dumpster derived bicycle, preferably an old road bike.
Strip off everything you don't want, are the brakes goin to go?
Call Anthoni or Brennan at the Chandler shop and order up a track wheel and cog, about $135
Decide what gear ratio you want. 46-16 is taller or 42-14 is a normal ratio.
Keep in mind that a taller gear is harder to stop.
Depending on the track cog you end up with you may also need a single speed chain ($12).
